How does Remote Backup work?
The backup software can be installed on Windows, Mac, Linux, NetWare and almost any other operating system which supports Java. See below for system requirements and download links. Once installed a simple setup wizard will guide you through selecting the files and folders you want to backup and also set a schedule. You can have multiple backup 'sets' defined backing up different data on different schedules. For example, you can backup your important data every day, but your music only once a week.
Your data is encrypted with a password which you choose then sent over the internet to our servers. We have multiple geographically separate servers which are synchronized so in the event of a disaster at our location, your data will still be safe and available.
